Runners compete in a race in order to win. Who wins the race? Most think the race is won by the fastest runner. What do you think? Is speed and agility the most important factor in a race? Yes, of course, speed is certainly a factor in winning a race. However, not all races are won by the fastest. A sprint most certainly requires speed in order to win. Marathons on the other hand require a steady pace, perseverance, and endurance.
How are you fairing in the Race of Life? Are you sprinting to the finish line only to find you have run out of steam? Are you poking along trying to make it from day to day? Or are you enduring well, persevering through life’s ups and downs? Are you running at a steady pace that enables you to finish well?

What is the prize of life? For many it is temporary things, i.e. money, possessions, looks, status, etc. All of these will disappear over time and for sure at the end of your life. Sure, you may pass some of these on to others. However, all of these will fade in the end. Matthew 6:19-21

Eternal Life! Jesus said, “I have come that [you] may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 Jesus Christ is “The Way, The Truth, and The Life”! John 14:6
